Connecticut and New York Oct. 25-29, 2007
I've finally getting around to posting pictures of our great trip to see Lillian and the great city of New York. Tori and I went to visit Lillian, Matt, and adorable Jackson October 25-29, 2007. It was so wonderful visiting with Lillian and Matt and we just loved little Jackson. Tori couldn't get enough of playing with him; in fact, when we had to leave she cried the whole way home. Poor Tori, she really loves that little guy.
I have so many great pictures I want to share with you all that I put them in slide shows. There's some great pics of our visit to the Statue of Liberity (I loved it), Ground Zero, outside the Broadhurst theater, Time Square, Rockefeller Center, FAO Shwartz (Tori loved it), and Tori getting her picture drawn by a street artist. This street artist did a fantastic job and drew a beautiful picture of my little Tori.
Everyone should go visit NYC, I'm hoping to go back some day and spend a whole week or maybe two. There's so much to do and see. It's a great place to visit.
One of these pictures shows us in front of a large metal globe that used to be next to the twin towers. It was damaged on Sept. 11 and moved to Battery park. It was interesting when we first saw the globe because we all commented on why they would have this and what happened to it. Then we say the plaque and they had an eternal flame in front of it also. It was humbling to see. In this show there's also pics of the NY skyline and Ellis island on our way to visit the Statue of Liberty.
These are pictures of our visit to the Statue of Liberty. I got a couple great pictures of inside the statue and the stairway going up to the crown. It would have been so great to go up there but they down't allow that anymore. The copper face is part of the museum inside the base of the statue. It shows examples and the history of how the statue was built.
